We are proud to announce the merger of the Sharedbans project and Steambans. As of July 18, 2006 all services of Sharedbans will be closed and integrated under Steambans.com.
The last few days Steambans and SharedBans management has worked hard at the negotiation table to put together a deal that both sides can be nothing but happy with and we are proud to announce the fruit of our labour.
KillahInstinct, Key negotiator SteamBans.com This is by far the largest blacklist organisational merger in the history of half-life anti-cheat and together we hope to put forward a much stronger front with more protected servers, resources and ideas.
The Sharedbans Management and admins will go over to the Steambans side as well and will continue to provide its users with the best possible support and future anti cheat projects. Not only the persons but also all tools will become available under SteamBans-brand.
For Sharedbans members this means they can sign up for a free account at SteamBans.com to protect their servers from known cheaters.
Viper, owner of Sharedbans.com. With the merger of both systems we are sure the future of online gaming will be even more secure then ever before
D_DK, founder of SteamBans.com. We are confident that the merger with Sharebans will be a huge step forward in protecting our community against cheaters. SharedBans have in the short existence proved to be both innovative and progressive in the source-field... We hope to combine this effort with steambans high quality demands and proud traditions to decrease the time spend on processing demos. combining effort on the development front help us push forward expected launchdates of new and exiting projects that you will hear much more about ...
We welcome the new staff under our wings hope they can bring their dedication to a new level and that together we can reach even more people.
We also firmly proclaim that none of the steambans quality demands will be lowered and the steambans spirit and proud traditions will continue as before, now even more strengthened.
The SBS blacklist is currently being investigated and more information about a possible transfer of parts or whole of the banlist will follow later.
